Mari Carswell brings to MPH a multi-faceted background in brand strategy, media and filmmaking. Her most recent work has centered on branding and sponsorship development for film & television. As CMO for Evergreen Films (2009-10), she was responsible for positioning the newly merged 3D studio, building partnerships with industry leaders and initiating discussions that led to major investment in the company. Through her consulting firm, Blue Earth Communications, Ms. Carswell has worked with Melrae Pictures, Telenova Productions, and the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Saudi Arabia.

Mari’s background as a global brand strategist in the advertising agency realm focused on launching innovative products, technologies, media, and events. Clients included: PBS Kids, Motorola, Intercontinental Hotel Group, The Home Depot, Cingular Wireless (now AT&T), and Wild American Shrimp. As SVP Brand Strategy and Business Development for Hauser Group, she was instrumental in growing the company to be one of Atlanta’s most respected boutique agencies, winning the 2006 Max Award for Marketing Innovation. 

In her career she has managed media, promotions, public relations and creative departments for various agencies. In 2009 Ms. Carswell co-founded BLUE Ocean Film Festival, the world’s leading ocean film and conservation event, recruiting a world class global advisory board and key sponsors. She remains on the advisory board of BLUE. 

Mari co-founded Spyhop Productions in 2001, which develops natural history and cultural programming.
