Dog Whisperer: 100th Episode Celebration Airs Friday, Sept. 19, at 9 PM ET/PT (WASHINGTON, D.C. — AUGUST 4, 2008) In four seasons and 100 episodes, Dog Whisperer With Cesar Millan has grown into a cultural phenomenon, from parodies on “South Park” to being a clue on “Jeopardy” to appearances on “Oprah” and the “Tonight Show” and Cesar’s two New York Times best-selling books. And now the show celebrates its 100th episode with a grand reunion of many of the past guests — and their dogs — all in one place at one time! Cesar also hears congratulations from celebrity friends and past show guests, including Jada Pinkett Smith, Patti LaBelle, Virginia Madsen, Ed McMahon and Daisy Fuentes. Culled from more than 2,100 audition tapes and more than 2,000 hours of footage, these first 100 shows have showcased 309 dogs in 150 cities and towns, included 72 trips to Cesar’s Dog Psychology Center, 41 assists by Cesar’s popular pit bull Daddy and 545 of Cesar’s trademark “tssts!” — all in Cesar’s continued quest to help problem pooches and their frustrated owners. Dog Whisperer: 100th Episode Celebration premieres Friday, September 19, at 9 PM ET/PT. The special episode reunites Cesar with the real “stars” of the show on a special red carpet lined with fire hydrants, including more than 100 rehabilitated dogs and 250 trained owners from the past four seasons, such as fan favorites Wilshire the Fire Dog, Luna — one of Cesar’s toughest cases, Kane the Great Dane, the Pink Lady and her Pink Dog, and Pups on Parole. Dogs from all four seasons of the program celebrate with Cesar — dogs that used to be out of control, aggressive, timid or haunted by phobias. And as Cesar has always said, his greatest challenge was training their human owners. With so many of his former “clients” gathered in a carnival atmosphere, it seems he has accomplished his mission, as all of the dogs (as well as their owners) are well-behaved. As one guest at the celebration proclaims, “Cesar’s work is phenomenal. It’s really working … I am the pack leader now.” The episode also takes a look back at several fan favorite stories from past seasons, with an update on how the dogs — and the owners — are doing now. And back at the celebration, in addition to the red carpet arrivals for all the dogs from the past seasons, the party includes a pet trick contest and a special dual cake cutting — one cake for humans, and of course, one cake for dogs. Cesar is also surprised when his childhood idol, Lassie, makes a special guest appearance. And no Dog Whisperer reunion would be complete without a group pack walk — which is just what Cesar and the 250 humans and 100 dogs do to commemorate the grand reunion!
